Crown and Bridge Prosthetics 1Laajuus (19 ECTS)

Objective

The student familiarizes himself/herself with the principles of crown and bridge prosthetics and practices to construct different types of individual crowns, and is capable of technically designing and manufacturing short bridge prostheses.

Content

-The clinical background of fixed prosthetics and theories in crown and bridge prosthetics.
-Precision casting of metals and milling methods
-Using ceramic materials, composite resins and re-enforcing fibres in dental technical work
-Strength design in crown and bridge structures
