Objective
The student will be familiar with the stages and related procedures in both basic x-ray examinations and x-ray examinations with contrast media, fluoroscopy equipment and computer tomography examinations. The student will be familiar with contrast media, know what they can be used for and do this in a safe manner. The student will be able to plan and evaluate examinations in a customer-oriented way. The student will be able to use the equipment safely and become familiar with technical quality assurance. The student will be able to apply his/her clinical treatment skills in patient care, and will understand the significance of multidisciplinary co-operation. The student will also be able to apply his/her knowledge in topographic anatomy, physiology and clinical physics in carrying out examinations and interventions in a safe way in terms of radiation.
Content
Contrast media, clinical patient care, maintenance of fluid balance and mathematical calculations related to infusions, further mammography treatment and interventions, fluoroscopy equipment, computer tomography and equipment, examinations using iodine and barium, practice and assessment of contrast media examinations and the research process, treatment of a premedicated patient and emergency care in contrast media complications, technical quality assurance, examinations as part of the customer's overall care
