- 5 ECTS
Objective
After completing this study unit, students know how to use different information collection methods. They use different types of measurement and can assess the reliability of the measurements and measurement devices they have used. Students are able to carry out a clinical examination of the feet, find out about self-care habits of the client and assess footwear and pain so that they are able to make a podiatric diagnosis and an individual treatment plan. Students know how to use the coding system of foot diseases in their client documents and are familiar with the laboratory and radiological examinations supporting podiatry to the extent that they can refer clients to these examinations. They can palpate various anatomical structures and describe them using variable palpation techniques.
