Objective

Students are able to design and make ordinary orthoses and also seek information about orthoses.

Content

Aims of orthotic therapy and basics of making orthoses
Selecting an orthotic model
Solving individual splint problems
Using tools and working on materials
Making a wrist splint, a full-length upper extremity orthosis and a surgical collar
Dynamic orthoses
Note
This course includes a clinical practice(3 ECTS credits).
