Cardiovascular PhysiotherapyLaajuus (3 ECTS)

Objective

Students become familiar with factors influencing cardiovascular health. They understand the significance of health promotion and prevention at different levels to the well-being and functioning of the cardiovascular system. Students obtain capabilities for analysing and assessing cardiac patients? mobility and functioning. They are able to plan and implement physiotherapy for patients who are different in terms of risk level at different stages of rehabilitation.

Epidemiological foundations of cardiovascular diseases
Physiotherapy for the most common cardiovascular diseases
Lower extremity circulatory disorders and prosthetics
Familiarisation with expert bodies (Finnish Heart Association; Technical Aids Assessment Unit).
