Swedish at WorkLaajuus (3 ECTS)

Objective

The objective of studies is for students to achieve sufficient functional Swedish skills to enable them to function and develop in their profession. Competence includes participatory interaction skills in client and care situations, the ability to acquire information from foreign-language materials and produce work-related messages and documents. During their studies, students develop a positive and realistic idea of their own language and communication skills and the ability to develop their own language skills in accordance with the principles of lifelong learning.

Occupation, career choice and work assignments
Professional texts and terminology
Working environment and society
Communication in work-related interactive situations: initial interviews, examinations, care and planning situations, providing instructions, describing processes, presenting the workplace
Written contacts: brief written messages, summaries (writing reports and précis).

Diagnostic test (level B1) or preparatory courses
