Finnish for Foreigners IIILaajuus (3 ECTS)

Objective

On completion of the course the student will be able to participate in simple conversations, read and understand simple texts with the aid of a dictionary and write simple texts about familiar topics, for example his or her background, personal history and daily activities.

Content

Oral and written communication is everyday contexts: speaking on the phone, talking about seasons and weather, spending time with friends, leisure time activities. New grammatical structures, for example expressing necessity and opinion, past tense. Basic features of colloquial Finnish. Features of the Finnish way of life.
