Course unit code: TE00AD09

General information

Credits
3 ECTS

Objective

The student understands the basic principle of pulse code modulation. The student knows fundamental limitations for information transmission and characteristics of different transmission channels. The student gets a basic understanding of communications networks and their operation. The student will be able to estimate feasibility of different transmission methods and media for a given communication demand. The student is familiar with different modulation methods as well as modulators and demodulators. He/she understands the communication principles between computers.

The contents and the assessment criteria of the course may be slightly different depending on the teacher of the course.
