Objective
On completion of course unit the student will know characteristics of time-based audiovisual content and its production systems. The student also knows the basic terminology of the field and concepts of its duties.

On completion of this course the student will be able to take into use a production system for a basic level company video, and also act in the tasks of semi-broadcasting-level production or be a manager in the production of the kind with specified technical quality.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)
The student knows the fundamental concepts of audiovisual production. The student can carry out a defined production in an organization which gives resources for that. The student is able to accomplish the operative tasks at regular intervals and writing professional documents which are required.
Assessment criteria, good (3)
In addition to above, the student understands variable quality levels of audiovisual contents, and is competent to define production equipment according to the presentation and publishing platform. The student also knows the case-specific operative tasks in connection to each other phases in productions.
Assessment criteria, excellent (5)
In addition to above, the student knows the industrial production technology in the state-of-art and the development trends in outline. The student understands video, audio and cinema in wide, and the technical prospects and their restrictions.
