- 4 ECTS
Objective
After completing the course the student knows the basics of computer technology fundamentals and the most general systems architectures and computer networks. In the focus of the course are computer equipment and their operating systems, the most important peripherals, and computer network hardware: workstations, servers and other networked systems, and the computer network active components, like hubs, routers, and switches. The right scaling and measuring of these systems are evaluated from the viewpoint of media technology.
-----
After completing the course the student is capable of defining different computer system-based solutions for the working environment of the trade and to plan their acquisition, implementation, and maintenance.
