Objective

On completion of the course the student knows the operation principles, central protocols and system components of IP telephony and video steaming technologies. The student knows basic QoS solutions.

Content

Operation principles and protocols for Voice over IP and video streaming.
QoS principles and functions.

Qualifications

To be able to successfully follow the unit, the student must know the basics of modern
Local Area and telecommunication Networks, and operation of central TCP/IP
protocols. This means, that he or she masters the central topics of the following courses:
• Communication Networks
• Local Area Networks

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

Student knows principles, protocols and implementations of IP telephony and video streaming systems.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

Student is able to implement IP telephony system and video steaming server.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

Student is able to design, implement and maintain IP telephony and video streaming systems.
