A student will also develop his/her professional competence and learn how to utilize the skills and the knowledge in the future working life.(see Polytechnic decree A 352/2003) Industrial placement is carried out according to the degree programme’s training goals and objects set for the placement. Industrial placement should be diverse and show an upward trend of becoming more demanding so that it would promote professional competence progressing from the basic skills acquired for the profession to the more demanding skills in an engineering level. Industrial placement aims at making a student widely familiar with the work tasks of the particular professional field in a real working life environment and guiding a student towards profession-related engineering tasks and professional requirements set by working life.
