Osaamistavoitteet

On completion of the course student will learn electrical properties of common electronic
and optical sensors used in measuring physical quantaties and will learn how to design
and verify measurement systems. The student is also able to analyze measurement systems and to optimize the signal to noise ratio with proper system design. Additionally various real-life sensors and measurement systems are presented and analyzed.

On completion of the course student understands the principles of various electric and optical sensors and is able to design simple measurement systems.

On completion of the course student is able to analyse and design electric and optical sensors as well as design measurement systems. Additionally he or she understands the signal to noise ratio in sensors and measurement systems.

On completion of the course student is able to analyse and design complex measurement systems using various electric or optical sensors as well as optimize the signal to ratio of such systems.
