Objective

The student is able to run his/her own and ready-made applications on the maemo platform, which is installed on the Linux PC ;create his/her own maemo GUI applications, to be tested and debugged inside maemo SDK with a normal Linux PC; build application packages to be installed to maemo-compatible devices

- What is maemo and what is inside the maemo platform.
- Installing and using the maemo SDK.
- Writing maemo GUI applications
- Using various essential features of the SDK such as writing Internet-connected applications, writing Status Bar plug.ins, writing”Send Via “ functionality, writing Control Panel applets, mapping MIME types, using back-up applications
- Integrating applications to maemo framework
- Deploying applications onto maemo-powered devices
