Objective

After completion of this course the student understands the laws and concepts used in electricity and magnetism and can apply these to problems. The student understands the importance of mathematics in this field. The student is able to formulate problems in mathematical terms and solve them using mathematical methods.

Qualifications

Completing first year study modules in Information Technology or equivalent skills and knowledge.

The student knows the essential theory and concepts in the field and can utilise them in analysis and solutions of simple problems.

The students can combine the knowledge acquired from various fields and, based on that, is able to solve also more demanding mathematical problems.

In addition to the in-depth management of the course contents, the student shows also capability and motivation to exploit the acquired knowledge into independent development of competence.
