Objective
Students identify the factors related to wellbeing. They understand deprivation as a social, communal and individual phenomenon. Students can define social structures and processes contributing to exclusion. They understand the importance of participation and community on an individual’s wellbeing.
Content
Theories of welfare. Elements of welfare. Social integration, poverty, exclusion and marginalisation. Social risks and problems. Socio-pedagogical means for supporting participation.
