Objective

The student
• masters the basics of game engines and real-time rendering and recognises their application methods and possibilities in various motion graphics productions and the implementation of simple game-like or interactive content
• knows the planning and content requirements of productions implemented with game engines, such as games and virtual productions
• identifies various software and tools for producing video games and real-time animations.

• Basics of using game engines
• Possibilities of game engines and real-time rendering in the implementation of motion graphics, virtual productions, and games
• Requirements of animations, 3D content and 2D graphics in game engines
• Design process, ideation, and sketching with game engines
• Interactivity in game engines
• Basics of game productions

The student
• knows the basics of game engines in video productions and the terminology and workflows related to the field
• knows how to implement videos with a game engine.

• understands the different work phases of game productions and knows how to apply the techniques to creating video productions
• knows how to implement high-quality content with a game engine.

• masters the use of game engines in video production and knows how to use the key terminology in the field
• manages the different work phases of game productions and knows how to apply the techniques to create video productions
• can independently use and explore new techniques in their practical assignments
