Objective

Understanding the most essential physical phenomena encountered by a Laboratory Analyst in his/her profession. Learning the physical measurement methods and work practices. The student will learn to callate results with the help of spreadsheet callation as well as to evaluate the validity of the results and to write work reports

Content

• Callus of physical quantities and observation of physical units.
• Mechanics: Newton’s Laws, principle of energy, circular motion and centrifuge.
• Thermodynamics: Thermal expansion, thermal energy and calorymetric measurements.
• Optics: Gaussian formula for lenses, refraction of light, spectrum of light, grating equation and energy levels of atoms.
• Graphic presentation: drawing and interpreting diagrams (Excel).
Using measuring instruments: calipers, micrometer screws, thermometers, scales, multimeters, microscopes, spectrometers, pc-based measurement converter and measuring software, different probeware and spectrometer
