Osaamistavoitteet

Games Now! is a lecture series of hot topics of the game industry and playful cultures. In Games Now! we dig deeper to what is current at the game scene – and what will happen in the near future.

Metropolia's partner Aalto University is offering a set of lectures for which you can receive credits from Metropolia by completing the required assignments.

Course is completed by attending the lectures and completing two tasks:

1) Attend at least 80 % of the lectures or follow them as streamed during the academic year.

2) Write a study journal or note book based on the messages of each lecture. Return your study journal or note book to course workspace onto the folder of assignments after all lectures have been delivered.
Write the journal in an essay format, minimum length three A4 pages. You can write in English or Finnish.

3) Write an essay based on the lectures or on your experience. Focus on finding answers to the following questions
a. What are the roles of the game producers in the game industry?
b. What kind of competence and skills a game producer should have?
c. What kind of aspects there will be for the game industry in the future?
Minimum length 2 - 3 A4 pages. Return your essay to the course workspace onto the folder of assignments. You can write in English or Finnish.
