Objective

The student becomes familiar with different luminaires, their features, and uses. The student also learns to use luminaires in performances. He/she gets familiar with different uses for both traditional and alternative sources of lighting and learns to utilise them.

Content

The course covers traditional luminaires, lamp types, colour changers and their technical features. Alternative sources of lighting and new types of luminaires are also introduced. The students learn to use different luminaires in performances and get familiar with the requirements and potential of various lamp types. The course includes both theoretical lectures and exercises that can be carried out in cooperation with the specialisation option of Theatre and Drama.
