Objective
Students master the basic structure and function of a cell, basic tissue types and their main functions as well as the basics of skin structure and its significance to humans. They master the structure, function and significance of blood and the circulatory system as well as the basics of the regulation of heart and blood pressure. Students are aware of the significance of the lymphatic system, the structure and function of the respiratory system, the significance of cell respiration and the regulation and significance of pH values of blood. They identify large bones and superficial muscles and are aware of their significance to humans. Students master the structure and basic function of the digestive system and the urinary system as well as understand the relationship between different systems and fluid balance.
Students comprehend the central aetiological factors of illnesses at cellular and tissue level as well as structural changes related to illnesses. They master the most common healing processes of illnesses and are aware of the principal pathological examination methods.
