Objective

Students become familiar with textile raw-materials and their properties as well as the most important fabric structures and the trade names used in fashion industry. Students will become familiar with the life-cycle of clothing.

Content

The study unit focuses on fibres used in fashion industry, natural fibres, synthetic fibres and fibre mixtures and their properties as well as fabric structures, finishing and care instructions.
