Project I Production DesignLaajuus (10 ECTS)

Objective

During the course, the student will deepen his/her industrial design skills to understand the customer, product and the final user´s points of views in product design. The student will be able to understand the role of industrial design in optimizing production costs and product quality. He/she willalso learn to understand how the realities of manufacturing, materials, and economical and ecological demands affect product design. The student will learn to use rapid prototyping methods and 3DCAD tools to produce product models, mock-ups and photorealistic computer graphics and renderings.

- The student knows how to make mock-ups and prototypes
- The student can utilise 3DCAD systems in the design process
- The student can produce high quality presentation material
- The student knows how to sell and pitch ideas
