On completion of this course the student will know the methods how to produce photos according a work order related defined purpose. Also he/she will know how camera devices and accessories are controlled and modified to take appropriate images.

Introduction to Media Technology, Introduction to Computer Technology

Arviointikriteerit, tyydyttävä (1)

The student knows the exposure process technology as it occurs in controls of aperture and shutter. The student knows the focal length, focal plane and focal area concepts. The student understands fundamentals of framing and composing. The student will prepare a portfolio and participate in an experimental group project.

Arviointikriteerit, hyvä (3)

In additon to above the student can self-evaluate photos according the set goal and produced outcome. The student has a deeper understanding of the exposure process and optical settings in wide. The student can perform good results in commissioned photography with reasonings and justifications. The student knows the photography terms.

Arviointikriteerit, kiitettävä (5)

In addition to above the student knows very well the adjustments, controls and considerations of a photographer in variable conditions and situations. The student can apply photography with pover of reasoning for a particular result, about which there is no experience or routine before. The student shows excellent photos, out of the common, in a personal portfolio. The student knows photography terminology thoroughly.
