Technical Documentation and CAD (3ECTS)
Course unit code: TG00AB63
General information
- Credits
- 3 ECTS
Objective
After completing the course the student is able to produce layout drawings computer aided (CAD) following the most central rules of scaled documents. Furthermore, he/she is able to create piping and instrumentation (PI) diagrams computer aided.
After completing the course the student is additionally able to create three dimensional models by means of 3D CAD technology.
Content
Fundamentals of one commonly used CAD program and applying the program to create following types of technical documents:
- Scaled layout documents
- Piping and instrumentation diagrams
Fundamentals of one widely used 3D CAD program and applying this program in part and assembly modeling.
Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)
The student is able to apply CAD technology in producing one layout document and one PI diagram from given general models. Additionally the student can create one general part and assembly model applying the 3D CAD technology.
Assessment criteria, good (3)
