Objective

Familiarize students on different networking technologies used on embedded systems. Emphasis on the course is on
RFID, ZigBee, CAN and Bluetooth.

After the course student will be able to create simple embedded systems that are able to communicate with each other.

- Basic networking concepts, technologies
- Networking challenges of embedded systems
- Fundamentals & basic operation of IEEE 802.15.4, ZigBee, Bluetooth, CAN
- RFID technologies
- Sensor networks

Student understands the operation principles of various communication technologies & protocols used in embedded systems.

Student is able to implement a simple system that utilizes various communication technologies & protocols used in embedded systems.

Student is able to design & implement an elegant system that utilizes various communication technologies & protocols used in embedded systems.
