Objective
After completion of the course the student understands the laws and concepts used in electrostatics and magnetostatics and can apply these to problems. The student also understands DC-circuits and can solve problems that deal with these. The student understands and is familiar with electromagnetic induction and its role in various applications.
Content

-Electromagnetic induction and its role in circuits

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)
The student is familiar with the concepts and quantities of electricity and magnetism.
The students can solve simple standard DC-circuit problems.
Assessment criteria, good (3)
The student understands the concept of a vector field.
The student can apply the laws of electro- and magnetostatics to a large range of problems.
Assessment criteria, excellent (5)
The student has a clear understanding of Maxwell's equations and can analyze problems in terms of these.
The student understands the concept of electromagnetic induction, its role in circuits and applications and can solve problems relating to induction.
The student masters the technical aspects of problem-solving.
