Objective
The student understands how the history of usability and user experience design and development affects the current theories and methods. The student understands the effect that different theories have on the methods used and how these methods are employed.

The student is able to select appropriate methods to fit the purpose of the test, the phase and resources that are available. The student can reason how to intertwine different methods based on his/her knowledge of the underlying theories of the particular methods. In addition, the student is able to analyse and adopt the methods to be suitable for investigating usability in the context of use.

- Basic outline of the history of usability and user experience theories
- Different methods of usability testing and user experience design
- Plan, design and execute usability testing and user experience design in the context of Android phones
- Find, use, analyse, evaluate and create patterns of UI, UX design
