Objective

Students
- are able to apply the core theoretical and clinical competence required by the clinical practice environment to the public health nursing of families having a baby
- can work to maintain and promote the health of families having a baby in a client-oriented way
- follow the ethical guidelines and principles of nursing and public health nursing
- work as responsible members of the work groups and work community
- can assess their professional competence and develop it further.

Content

Clinical practice includes learning laboratory and simulation studies 0.5 ects
Supporting women’s sexual and reproductive health
Gynaecological examination and gynaecological infections as well as breast examination
Postnatal examination of normal childbirth and issuing the certificate for it
Contraceptive methods used after childbirth
Termination of pregnancy
