The student
• can plan and implement logically progressing learning units
• is able to apply learner-centred and supportive working methods in one-to-one tuition
• motivates the learner and is able to give varied feedback
• is able to support learning through repertoire planning and select teaching materials appropriate to the learner's level
• is capable of reflecting on their own learning process and activities.

Content

• Lesson planning
• Teaching of musical elements
• In-depth knowledge of one’s instrument, repertoire for the instrument
• Teaching practice; observation and reflection on teaching and learning

Qualifications

The student is able to plan and implement individual lessons in a learner-centred manner and in accordance with the fundamental principles of ethical conduct for teachers. They can use typical methods of music education and one-to-one instrument teaching. The student can provide constructive feedback and receive feedback on their teaching. The student can reflect on and evaluate their own skills, actions, and pedagogical learning process, both orally and in writing.

Assessment criteria, approved/failed

The student
• is able to plan logically progressive learning units and apply learner-centred and supportive working methods
• is able to select appropriate repertoire for the learner and to give varied and motivating feedback
• can reflect on and evaluate their own skills, actions and pedagogical learning process both orally and in writing.
