Objective

Student
- knows the public health nursing process in a maternity and child health clinic work
- can use key evidence-based knowledge and clinical skills in their work at a maternity and child health clinic
- can work in a client-centred way to promote the health and well-being of clients and families
- is able to identify and support family empowerment
- identifies specific support needs and is able to make referrals to additional support services
- is able to encounter clients and members of the work community in a way that respects diversity and equality
- is able to work as expert of public health nursing in multidisciplinary cooperation
- improves their skills in planning and implementing independent maternity and child health clinic reception
- can act as a responsible member of a team
- can promote the safety of the living environment of clients and families and prevent environmental risks
