Objective
After the course student have basic skills to manage simple environmental engineering project.
On completion of the course, the student will be able to produce formal reports and present them orally, refer to and include tables and figures appropriately in reports and oral presentations, evaluate the reliability of sources, and apply the conventions of technical writing and citation styles when writing a project report.
Content
The course relies on a basic project management framework in which the project life-cycle is broken into organizing, planning, monitoring, controlling and learning from old and current enironmental projects. Within the framework, students learn the methodologies and tools necessary for each aspect of the process as well as the theories upon which these are commissioned.
In addition:
- Project proposals, progress reports and project report
- Tables and figures in written reports and oral presentations
- Documentation of data and source material in texts
Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)
To define or describe the subject matter related to the concepts and phenomena qualitatively and calculate the associated basic quantitative comparisons and calculations
Assessment criteria, good (3)
The student is able to apply, calculate, change and choose the concepts related to the matter and phenomena qualitatively and calculate the basic quantitative calculations as well as to complete and produce the necessary information for the calculations.
Assessment criteria, excellent (5)
The students is able to categorize, collect, combine and generalize the concepts related to the matter and phenomena qualitatively and calculate the basic quantitative calculations as well as derive and rearrange given basic information.
