Objective

The student knows the essential of the Western art and culture. The student knows the major movements and works of art of the Western art history. The student is able to analyze and study works and phenomena of art and culture. The student understands the connection between modern art and culture and the history of art and culture. The student is able to understand and evaluate her/his own professional activities in the context of the history of art and culture.

The essential history of the Western art, architecture and design.
The major art movements and leading persons of art, architecture and design.
Art and the economical and social development and history of ideas and culture of the Western world.
The context of art and cultural phenomena.

Approved passing of the course demands that the student fulfills the requirements specified in each course implementation.
