- recognise the maximum eccentricity of normal load not causing tension in a member
- repeat dimensioning of beams and columns
- describe forces of truss members
- describe the buckling of a compressed member
- describe the design of a compressed member.

- calculate the buckling load of a compressed member and design a compressed member.
