Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The students can explain the operation principles of heating, water and waste water, ventilation, electricity distribution and automation systems. They can list the main components of building services systems and explain their operating principles. The students can describe the interfaces between buildings services systems and other parts and systems of a building. They can summarize the role of building services systems in the energy use and indoor environment of a building. The students can, when assisted, create the documents needed for the design, use and maintenance of building services systems.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

In addition to above, the students can select the main components of the systems. They can design the interfaces with other parts and systems and compare different solutions in regards to energy efficiency and indoor environment. The students can individually create the documents needed for the design, use and maintenance of building services systems.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

In addition to above, the students can optimize the performance of building services systems in regards to cost, energy efficiency and indoor environment
