Objective
Students will become familiar with the various stages of children’s physical, psychological, motor and social development. Students will learn the basic knowledge of childhood development and growth.
Students understand the variety of developmental process and identify factors affecting the development. Students are able to reflect different aspects of child development in interdisciplinary collaboration.
Content
- Children’s physical, psychological, motor and social development
- Children’s cognitive, social and emotional skills
- Interaction and communication between the infant, the parents and the environment
- Development of fine and gross motor skills
- The significance of play in childhood

Student is able to:
