Objective

This course aims to help the participants learn basic Japanese. The participants will be given opportunities to learn the beginner level of practical Japanese for daily conversation and “Hiragana”, one of the basic Japanese writing systems. This course is suitable for those who plan to study abroad in Japan in the future or simply interested in Japanese language and culture.

Content

By the end of the course, the participants will be able to:
• read and write ‘Hiragana’, one of the three writing systems in Japanese.
• introduce him/herself in Japanese using basic phrases and vocabulary for the first time when meeting with other people.
• draft a personalized study plan to continue learning Japanese on their own with the help of self-study sites and learning tools.

Class materials will be available online. You may need to print the contents when required.
