Objective

On completion of the course, the studentwill be familiar with the planning and manufacturing methods of tools, and know the materials used in the them.
The student will be able to use of fasteners and modular tool holders in metal cutting. He/she will be familiar with the palette systems in machine tools and in assembly.
The student will be familiar with the manufacturing methods and tools used in punching and sheet metal industry.
The student will be familiar with the casting methods and the casting moulds and their making. The student will also be familiar with the principle of forging, as well as with forging moulds and their planning.
The student wil be familiar with the manufacturing methods of plastics and the moulds and tools used in them.

The student is familiar with the principles of the most common manufacturing methods, and the methods for designing their tools.
The student is familiar with cutting machine tools, fasteners, modular tool systems and configuration tools, as well as their use.
The student is familiar with the design and manufacturing methods of tools for sheet metal work and for methods which use molds.
The student is familiar with the manufacturing processes of plastics.
