Objective
On completion of the course, the student is familiar with the electro-technical systems in buildings.
The student is familiar with the most important concepts of electrical engineering, the safe structure of electrical devices, the protection of electrical devices and the safe use of electricity in construction site conditions.
The student knows which installation tasks require a special qualification. The student is also familiar with the parties involved in the national supply of electricity, and knows how questions related to the electrical system of a building are handled in different stages of the construction project.
The student has an overall understanding of the electrical systems in buildings and how questions related to the electrical system need to be taken into account in different stages of construction.
The student knows how to use electrical equipment safely.
Content
Electro-technical systems in buildings, symbols and drawings for electrical systems and equipment
Safe operation and protection
Major technical properties of 400/230 V building service devices, electrical quantities and equipment specifications
Parties involved in building the electrical system of a building at different stages of construction, the structure and use of the power network on site
Generation and consumption of electricity, the parties involved and possibilities of saving energy
Supplying power in an economic way, environmental considerations, major points in safety standards and instructions related to electrical systems.
