Objective

On completion of the course the student will be familiar with the following:
- the main production techniques on a construction site
- production planning in different phases of construction
- setting up a construction site
- planning the use of the area included in the construction site
- goals and contents of production planning
- the purpose and contents of a task start-up meeting
- task planning for common tasks.

Content

1. The phases of construction on a construction site
2. The key plans of production
3. Utilising a building information model in construction site planning
4. The most common working methods and related resources
5. Quality assurance and safety of different construction phases
6. The principles and goals of planning work at a site
7. Planning the temporal, economical and quality-related goals of different tasks and the way they will be carried out
8. Questions related to carrying out of the work, such as occupational safety and site logistics in different phases of construction
9. Work supervision
10. Special questions related to construction physics in planning and carrying out work.

The student knows the main production techniques and work methods and is familiar with the related production planning.
The student is familiar with the tasks related to setting up a site.
The student knows well the various stages of construction and related quality management and safety.
The student is able to apply the principles and procedures of task planning in creating an ordinary task plan.

The student masters different production techniques and work methods.
The student can plan production and understand the related quality management practices and safety at work.
The student is able to apply the principles and procedures of task planning in creating an ordinary task plan excellently.
The student knows how task planning can be utilised in procurement.
