The process of concrete floor construction, planning, supervising casting and post-casting work phases
Occupational safety issues related to concrete floor construction

On completion of the course, the student
- can describe the most important quality requirements and regulations related to precast elements and the manufacturing process
- can describe typical installation methods and related occupational safety considerations
- can create an element installation plan and a task plan
- can describe the most important requirements and regulations related to concrete floor works.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

On completion of the course, the student
- can describe the quality requirements and regulations related to precast elements and the manufacturing process
- can explain installation methods and create an occupational safety plan
- can create an installation plan and task plan for precast elements and organise the work on site
- can describe the requirements and regulations related to concrete floor works
- can create a task plan for concrete floor works.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

On completion of the course, the student
- can describe the quality requirements and regulations related to precast elements and the manufacturing process, and can interpret these from drawings and work specifications
-can explain methods of precast element installation, choose machinery and create an occupational safety plan
- can create an installation plan for precast elements and supervise and document the implementation of the plan
- can describe the requirements and regulations related to concrete floor works
- can create a task plan for concrete floor works
- can explain different methods of treating concrete surfaces
