Objective

On completion of the course the student can supervise the installation of building service systems together with the related contractors. The student can interpret HVAC drawings and plan the implementation of service systems with other works on the site. The student is familiar with the basic operation of HVAC systems, the principles of planning these systems and the laws and regulations governing them, as well as the basics of HVAC installations.
The student knows how the electric and information systems of buildings operate, the typical phases in implementing them and the relevant regulations. The student also knows safety issues related to electric equipment and the installation of electricity in a building. The student can interpret drawings related to these systems with other professionals in order to plan the work and create relevant contracts.

HVAC appliances, their functioning and technical plans
Regulations related to construction
Interpreting HVAC drawings in order to build the system correctly
Carrying out work related to HVAC systems on the site
The main parts and common alternatives of the HVAC systems of a building
The structure and installation of the HVAC devices, piping and equipment of a building, such as
- water
- heating
- sewage
- ventilation.
Basics of electrical engineering
Safety regulations related to electrical systems and getting electricity on the site
The electric and data networks of a building and LON systems
Electrical installations on the site
The structure, parts and installation arrangements of the electrical system of a building, including
- switchboards
- regulations and safety of installation work, safe operation
- getting electricity on a construction site.
Interpreting electrical drawings in order to build the electrical system correctly.
