Objective

Students encounter the person professionally, appreciatively and empathically with health-promoting approach. Students work in a person-oriented manner, and in dialogical interaction with the person. Students are able to examine the regional and segmental movements of the spine. Student combines anatomical knowledge with palpation. Students localize neck, abdominal and lower limb muscles by using muscle activation, and are able to evaluate the tonus of those muscles. Students are able to examine and treat the tissues of the masticatory system, abdominal and dorsal region manually. Students have anatomically accurate palpation skills, and they continue to develop their palpation skills. Student recognise indications and contraindications of the osteopathic techniques, and are able to explain effect mechanisms of techniques by applying research knowledge.
