Objective

Students know the activities of daily living and the challenges associated with them. They are able to support the rehabilitant's autonomy and involvement in everyday life with the help of aids. They evaluate environmental solutions that promote human participation and apply their skills in designing an accessible operating environment. Students familiarize themselves with environmental management devices and communication aids and understand their importance in the daily life of a rehabilitant. They know the appropriate aids of special groups and understand the factors influencing their selection and use.
Students master the current understanding of mental health as well as mental functioning. They develop basic skills to deal well with the client and the ability to recognize various signs of life crises and other traumatic crises. Students understand the importance of mental resources for the adaptation and well-being of people from different backgrounds.

• Planning environments to promote participation, and laws and recommendations on it
• Evaluating the accessibility of environment and providing suggestions for its further development from the perspective of different user groups
