Content
Reasons for placing in foster care. The purpose of foster care. Foster care as a child's experience. Well-being and support for children placed outside the home and their parents: working with children placed outside the home, the importance of rehabilitative daily life, meeting and therapeutic institutional education, attachment and trauma. Social network of the child and working with it. Support for returning home. Restrictive and disciplinary practices. Quality criteria for foster care. Foster care control and supervision system. Foster care as a professional activity (professional identity and multiprofessional co-operation).
Location and time
Studying takes place independently in Moodle between 1.3.2021 and 31.5.2021 at the pace chosen by the student. Students can submit their studies for assessment at the end of each month (March 30, April 30 and May 31), after which the teacher evaluates the entire course.

An online course in which the student becomes acquainted with the course materials independently and performs assignments. The course has assignments related to each unit, which are assessed as accepted / rejected, and two broader assignments, which are assessed and which form the grade of the course.
