Objective
Student is able to describe joint´s function by applying osteokinematics and arthokinematics. Student know how to observe and analyse functions of movement chain as a premise for osteopathic examination and treatment. Student observes and analyses functions of musculoskeletal system related to posture and movement. Student is able to describe biomechanics by applying balance control and movement. Student understands biomechanical approach for osteopathy. Student knows biomechanical equipments and basics for gait analysis.
Content
Osteokinematics and arthrokinematics. Joint´s stability and mobility. Open and closed kinetic chain. Analysis and control of joints´ and body. Sitting, standing, getting up, lifting, carrying, walking, running, kicking, throwing. Biomechanical gait analysis. Biomechanical properties of tissues and structures. Biomechanical basics for movement. Balance.
