Objective

Students are competent in finding environmental solutions promoting individual functional ability and participation and are capable of applying this competence to planning of accessible operational environments in a multiprofessional manner. They can describe how assistive device promotes individual’s functional abilities. Students are able to assess the need for assistive device. Students can describe the social importance and objectives of applied physical activity. The student can select and adapt various forms of physical activity both on an individual basis and for different groups. The student can operate in multiprofessional cooperation with other entities and professionals that arrange adapted physical activity.

Content

Planning of environment promoting functional ability and participation as well as laws and
recommendations guiding it.
Assessing accessibility of environment and formulating development proposals from the perspective of various user groups
Familiarisation in assistive device services
Concept, importance, objectives and organisations of applied physical activity
Psychomotor approach in applied physical activity
Basics of group physical activity guidance
Application of different forms of physical activity and sports for different customer groups
Multiprofessional collaboration and networks in applied physical activity

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

Students use the appropriate core concepts as well as make choices using the knowledge base of their own professional field. They recognise the prerequisites and consequences of their own actions. Students’ actions follow the rules and instructions given, and they use working methods appropriately and safely. Students work according to the professional ethics of their own field, and they act responsibly as group members.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

Students analyse the relationships between appropriate core concepts as well as justify their choices using the knowledge base of their own professional field. They analyse the prerequisites and consequences of their own actions. Students act according to the rules and instructions given in their operating environment, and they use working methods appropriately and safely. Students work according to the professional ethics of their own field, and they act flexibly as group members.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)
