Objective

The student is able to describe the structure and functioning of the bones, joints and muscles of the body and neck as well as the mouth. Students know how to describe the consistency of blood and its physiological significance. They are able to explain the structure and function of the circulatory system, lymphatic system and respiratory system. Students are able to use foreign terminology related to the anatomical structures. The student gains further skills in recognising musculoskeletal structures. The students can apply a suitable massage for their client and use classical strokes and techniques. Students know how to describe the basic factors affecting the cause and development of accidents, injuries and common illnesses, as well as their significance in physiotherapy. The students are able to describe the main features of the healing process from the perspective of pathophysiology.
