- describe the methods of data acquisition and analysis applied in development work and the working methods
- justify the methods and working methods used in the development work
- critically evaluate the studies carried out by different methods
- understand the importance of condensed research in developing and implementing consistent practices

- share the basic concepts of epidemiology and biostatistics

Location and time

Oppimisalustana Moodle, joka aukeaa 15.1.2021 ja sulkeutuu 15.5.2021.

Menetelmäpajat erillisen aikataulun mukaisesti, aikataulu on Moodlessa. Menetelmäpajoja toteutetaan useita kertoja lukukauden aikana.

Materials

Osoitetaan Moodle-alustalla. Sisältää myös nauhoitettuja verkkoluentoja.

Opettajan laatimat tehtävät ja MATERIAALIT ovat Tekijänoikeuslain (404/61) mukaisia teoksia, joihin opettajalla on tekijänoikeus. Tehtäviä JA MATERIAALEJA ei saa käyttää muuten kuin omissa opinnoissaan. Niiden julkinen levittäminen on sallittua vain opettajan luvalla.

Teaching methods

Verkkokurssi, jonka teoriaosuus suoritetaan kokonaan Moodle-alustalla. Alusta auki 15.1.2021-15.5.2021

Tähän opintojaksoon tarjotaan myös menetelmäpajoja. Menetelmäpajoihin osallistuminen on vapaaehtoista.
Menetelmäpajoja on tarjolla kolme erilaista: kvantitatiivinen, kvalitatiivinen ja kehittämistyön paja.
Yhden menetelmäpajan pituus on 1 x 3h.
Jokaista menetelmäpajaa toteutetaan useita kertoja lukukauden aikana, myös kesäkuussa. Opiskelija valitsee omaan aikatauluun parhaiten sopivat.

Exam schedules

Verkkotentti Moodlessa.
Saa uusia 2 x kolmen päivän välein. Hyväksytty suoritus 50% oikein (hyväksytty/hylätty arviointi). Myös uusinnat tehtävä ennen 15.5., jolloin Moodle sulkeutuu.

Content scheduling

Verkkokurssi auki Moodlessa 15.1.2021-15.5.2021.

Opintojaksossa suoritetaan etiikan yksilötehtävä (arvioidaan hyväksytty/hylätty), sekä pienryhmätehtävä (4-5 hlöä, arvioidaan asteikolla 0-5). Opintojakson arvosana muodostuu pienryhmätehtävän arvosanasta.

Menetelmäpajat erillisen aikataulun mukaisesti. Menetelmäpajoja järjestetään useita kertoja lukukauden aikana, myös kesäkuussa.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

The student is able to:
- use concepts and knowledge in his field systematically
- find information and assess and use information sources with a critical eye
- apply professional information in professional assignments
- apply professional expertise in various work assignments
- act independently and responsibly in professional contexts
- plan operations with safety in mind
- act according to professional ethics
- act purposefully in working groups and projects

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The student is able to:
- use concepts and knowledge in his field professionally
- argue the use of his sources - argue a course of action on the basis of research information or findings
- operate in a range of duties and work situations, also in international contexts
- to act in a way that is customeroriented and displays entrepreneurial spirit
- to act responsibly, taking safety issues into consideration
- argue his choices on the basis of professional ethics
- organise and manage the operation of a group and project

The student is able to:

Assessment methods and criteria

Opintojakson suorittaminen edellyttää aktiivista osallistumista, materiaaleihin tutustumista, tehtävien tekemisen ja verkkotentin hyväksyttyä suoritusta aikarajan puitteissa.
Yksilötehtävä arvioidaan hyväksytty/hylätty asteikolla, pienryhmässä tehtävä oppimistehtävä arvioidaan arvosanalla 0-5, verkkotentti hyv/hyl. Kaikki suoritukset palautettava viimeistään 15.5., jolloin Moodle sulkeutuu.
