Objective

Students know how to plan and instruct safe and individual therapeutic exercises. They are able to use various means of education and feedback and consider individual needs in the physiotherapy
sessions. Students can apply therapeutic exercise using principles of exercise physiology, biomechanics and motor learning.
Students are familiar with the societal significance and objectives of adapted physical activity, in particular from the perspective of social and health care. They know how to promote and support client’s full participation and exercise behavior in different environments.
Students know how to combine the perspective of health-related exercise with the planning, instructing and assessing of exercise for special groups. They are able to choose and apply various types of exercise and sports to individuals and various groups.
Students can work in multiprofessional cooperation with organisations as well as professionals providing adapted physical activity.Students know how to combine the perspective of health-related exercise with the planning,

Content

Applied therapeutic exercise
Instruction of therapeutic exercise using principles of motor learning
Concept, significance, objectives and organisations of adapted physical activity
Psychomotric approach in adapted physical activity
Adaptations of types of exercise and sports to special groups
Multiprofessional cooperation and networks in adapted physical activity
Significance, objectives, special features and needs of planning and implementation of physical exercise as well as practical physical training sessions for the elderly Significance, objectives, special features and needs of planning and implementation of physical exercises concerning musculoskeletal diseases as well as practical physical training sessions for clients having these diseases.

Students master professional concepts, and they justify their choices using the comprehensive knowledge base, based on the client’s needs. Students assess systematically the prerequisites and consequences of their own actions.
Students act independently and professionally aiming at goals set to them in their operating environment as well as apply working methods appropriately and safely.
Students work according to professional ethics as well as commit themselves to the group, enhancing its functioning.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

Students master professional concepts and make choices together with the client using the comprehensive knowledge base. They also assess and develop their own functioning systematically.
Students act independently and professionally aiming at goals set to them in their operating environment. They also apply working methods flexibly and safely.
Students work according to professional ethics considering the characteristics of various situations, and in their work they commit themselves to the code of professional conduct.

Students master professional concepts and make choices together with the client using the comprehensive knowledge base, in changing environments. They also assess their own functioning and produce knowledge to develop their operating environment.
Students act independently and professionally and develop their working and operating environments together with other actors.
Students work according to professional ethics considering the characteristics of complex and unpredictable situations. Their work develops and renews professional procedures and practices.
